TAO by Comme des Garçons was launched by Rei Kawakubo in 2005 and is designed by Tao Kurihara, one of the most influential designers to emerge from the Comme des Garçons universe. Known for her romantic yet experimental approach, Tao combines elements of Victorian dress, workwear, military references, patchwork, lace, ruffles, and deconstructed tailoring into silhouettes that feel both poetic and unconventional.
