ALEXANDER MCQUEEN
Lee Alexander McQueen (1969 – 2010) was a British fashion designer and couturier. He founded his eponymous label in 1992 and was chief designer at Givenchy from 1996 to 2001. He is considered one of the most influential designers of his generation and is known for his precision tailoring, use of technology, and artful fashion shows. His achievements in fashion earned him four British Designer of the Year awards (1996, 1997, 2001, and 2003) and the CFDA's International Designer of the Year award in 2003. McQueen has been the subject of several important museum retrospectives, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute's Savage Beauty exhibition. Iconic clients and supporters include Isabella Blow, Kate Moss, Lady Gaga, and Daphne Guinness.
Resurrection curated and presented an important Alexander McQueen exhibition featuring over fifty important looks in New York in 2015, placing many pieces domestically and internationally in museums.
