Resurrection is excited to offer a vintage Comme des Garçons dark navy pleated skirt from 2001. This striking Archive piece juxtaposes a refined, elongated silhouette with industrial silver-tone zipper hardware, creating a tension between classic tailoring and the deconstructed, utilitarian vocabulary central to Rei Kawakubo’s work.

The skirt is constructed in a deep navy fabric with a high, clean waistband and a long, gently flared silhouette. Subtle vertical pleating extends throughout the body, giving the otherwise restrained skirt movement and dimension. Three exposed silver-tone zippers interrupt the front: one positioned horizontally across the upper hip and another spanning the lower skirt, while additional buckle-like hardware secures the waist at the side. The zippers are functional design elements as well as graphic details, allowing the skirt’s appearance and proportions to be visually transformed. The back remains comparatively minimal, with finely pressed vertical pleats falling from the waistband to the hem.
